Netflix Selects Ideal Star for Bon Clay in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed Tuesday that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bon Clay. The role has the ability to change into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve made contact with with their main hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character reinterpreted as non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and animated series.
This performer will work alongside a number of recently announced actors tasked with bringing the organization to the screen, including head Sir Crocodile, played by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and a familiar face, who will appear as the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Even though this character is a major member of the organization, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a major departure in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could signal additional alterations to the story’s structure.
