Passionate fans of the pop star are calling for that a man who breached a barrier and touched the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage depicts the Australian man shoving aside photographers and lunging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though legal records indicated that he was due to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram account includes recordings of him disrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last December.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Numerous fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said a further message on Instagram.

Some fans also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

The film, to be premiered on November 21, is the follow-up of a dual version of the popular theatrical musical Wicked, which centers on the unlikely friendship between two contrasting witches.

The show itself is a adaptation of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of 2024 in the UK, and received a dozen award recognitions, earning several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
